Alice Benjamin is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist with over 25 years of nursing experience specializing in cardiovascular health, critical care, and emergency medicine. She is also the Chief Nursing Officer Consultant for Nurse.com - Continuing Education, Jobs, & News for Nurses. Benjamin started as a CNA and worked her way from LVN, to ADN, to BSN, to MSN, first becoming a Clinical Nurse Specialist and later a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has also been an associate nurse faculty focused on helping nurses transition into the workplace by leading new grad and new-to-specialty critical care training programs. Beyond the bedside, she is a strong community health advocate. Benjamin has served as a spokesperson for the American Heart Association and AARP and is a consistently, trusted voice in media as a TV medical correspondent. She is also the founder of AskNurseAlice.com, a trusted source for health and wellness information, and the host of the popular Ask Nurse Alice podcast.
